Welcome to my personal website!

I grew up in Costa Rica. My curiosity about nature started since I was a child, and looking back, I strongly believe that growing up surrounded by forests, rivers, and wild animals motivated me to pursue a career in biological sciences. While on that path, I have to thank all the amazing friends and mentors that I have met during my life, in addition to my family that has always supported me.

My interests encompass multiple aspects of the ecology, behavior, morphology, and evolution of tropical organisms, where I have been focusing mainly on studying Neotropical mammals.

Nowadays, I am pursuing a Ph.D. at the University of Washington in Seattle, USA, where I continue my endeavors to understand and conserve our natural world.
