Feeding behavior & dietary diversity of Neotropical rodents
Rodents are the most highly diverse group of mammals in the world, however, we have scarce information available regarding many basic aspects of rodents biology. I collaboration with Diego Salas from Veragua Rainforest, we are putting together multiple pieces of evidence regarding the feeding behavior and dietary diversity of the Neotropical rodents from Costa Rica.
From fortuitous observations while performing fieldwork to more systematic recording of feeding events, documenting rodents' biology is highly important to understand the roles they play in ecosystem functioning. Please feel free to contact me if you want to contribute to this long-term endeavor to unravel the secret life of these amazing creatures. |
